Open Question: Cross-country road trip with 3 kids!?

My husband and I are planning a cross-country road trip to visit the various family we have scattered all over the country from Oregon to Atlanta, GA! Our route will look something like this: Northern California (Home) -> Portland, OR (visiting family overnight) -> Bozeman, MT (visiting family for several days) -> Springfield, MO (visiting family for a couple days) -> Atlanta, GA (visiting family for a couple days) -> Dallas, TX (considering moving there, want to check it out) -> Southern California (visiting family ovenight) -> Home again! Over 6,000 miles total travelled (yikes!) We are allowing ourselves about 2-3 weeks for this entire trip, and have already added stops at Yellowstone (well more like driving through the northern route on our way to SD, we've been there before so not a huge deal) and Mount Rushmore (planning to stay the night nearby) but would love to hear some suggestions for other places we could visit along our way! :) Our kids will be 6, 3 and 1 year old at the time of the trip (we're crazy we know) but with our minivan fully outfitted with DVD screens, plethora of handheld gaming devices, and enough potty breaks along the way, we're hoping we'll survive our epic road trip ;)...
